Deliciously Cute

Okay, a long time ago now, I put up a post about a Kickstarter I was backing.  Well, the plushies produced by that Kickstarter arrived months ago, but due to one thing and another, I’m only just getting around to them in any proper manner.  (Timing was part of it:  they arrived when my house stank because of the dead mouse in the walls, so I left them in the plastic bag they shipped in, to protect them from the smell, only then everything went all weird on me otherwise, and…)

So, without further ado, let me start the post by introducing you to the goodies I got for backing the Kickstarter. 🙂

Kickstarter kitties

Well, plush kitties.  Sort of.  But I’ll get to that in a minute.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything to this blog (for a change, my “main” blog has been getting more of my attention in the last week), and that’s in part because I never seem to have a moment to take any photos while there’s still, you know, daylight.  This room is terrible for night photography.  I actually have a couple of posts’ worth of things I need to photograph:  some wigs came in from Etsy, and I found some goodies at Target that I want to share.  But I don’t seem able to get the finkin’ photos taken!  (Maybe tomorrow I’ll manage it.  Though that was what I was thinking last night, so…)

Aaaanyway, thing is, I just backed another Kickstarter project, and unlike the last project with a toy as the intended result (I’ve also backed a few books and such since then), this one is actually already fully funded, and so now they’re trying to make their stretch goals.  Which is where this post comes in, because one of the stretch goals is this:

They’re funding a line of plushies that are hybrid cat and coffee shop foods.  The main plush is “Catpuccino”, a Starbucks-like coffee cup with a kitty lid and a tail.  It’s very cute, but “Mewcaron” is by far the cutest, in my opinion.  But they need to get — as the image shows — $18,575 to add the plush to the line, and as of my pledge tonight they only have $14,265, and four days to make up the difference.

So I thought I’d post this and see if I could help them hit that $18,575, ’cause I so want “Mewcaron” as my reward for backing them!  (There’s also a really cute keychain, but that’s not part of the stretch goals, so there’s no risk of not getting that one.)

If you’re interested — or you know someone else who might be interested — you can click the picture to go to their Kickstarter page, or click here.

And, like I said above, hopefully I’ll have some new pictures to put up tomorrow or the next day.  (Hopefully.)

EDIT — They made it!  “Mewcaron” got funded! 😀  Of course, now I’m wondering if I should increase my pledge level to get “Catpuccino” as well after all.  (Or maybe just the keychain version…?)
